A window, A perspective

Many times I wonder how overly fond I am of being by a window- may it be a study desk, or a room where I work, or for a window seat while flying.

A window is a link to the outside world, from which you are being contained. It always gives you that inspiration, that will, to go out there and be a part of something which you are not. You are being forced to only watch from the confines of your room, or airplane! When you see a scape through a window, it has a completely different perspective. The feeling that something is stopping you from being there, just makes it more enticing. All through my growing up years, my study desk was always by the window. Even today, I work by the window. I always look out while studying or working, as my mind accepts and processes all the information. I appreciate what I see even more this way- the same scapes that I walk by everyday and fail to notice! As a kid while studying I was always upset that everyone was having fun outside while I had to study! Now as a grown up I see the skyline or the park, I feel I want to own that penthouse overlooking the park. Perspectives have changed with age but my joy of looking out of the window has only grown.

This is just one of those pictures, which connected internally. Being in this dark room, looking at those trees bathing in sunlight, made me appreciate what I discovered outside even more (second picture). Its not one of those “wow” shots, but every now and then something very simple touches your innermost self. This picture took me back 15 years to the sight of the trees I used to see through the window by my study desk and how I always yearned to be out there. Well after all these years, I can actually be out there and be a part of everything I see outside that window.
